1 box German chocolate cake mix
1½ sticks butter
1 cup chopped nuts
5/6 cup canned milk
6oz chocolate chips
14oz caramels

  1. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup canned milk. Set aside.
  2. Mix cake mix with butter, nuts, and ½ cup canned milk.
  3. Put one-half of the mixture in 9"x13" buttered pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 6 minutes.
  5. Take from oven.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  7. Drizzle melted caramel and put remaining cake mix on top.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes (mixture will be sticky).
  9. Cool and cut.
